I don’t think that’s at all clear. For one thing, I think it gives Iran

Far more credit than their performance this weekend deserves. According to the U.S., it wasn’t just military prowess that turned a barrage into a whimper. About half their cruise missiles failed all on their own.

So, Iran’s ability to deliver nukes, once they have them, is highly questionable. I don’t think it’s at all clear that all out regional war now is the lesser risk. I think it might be the greater risk.

Israel didn’t largely pull out of Gaza because it wanted to appease us after the WCK tragedy. It took the opportunity to give a completely exhausted nation a breather. Its economy is strained to the limits by the mobilization. You want to sprint full speed into a four front war. I think that’s reckless.
